Gas Turbine Services (GTS) values the privacy of its customers / end-users and follows all applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). GTS provides customer focused maintenance support products and services for the Siemens SGT/Ruston range of engines and their associated auxiliary equipment for offshore and onshore installations worldwide, in both the CHP and Oil & Gas Industry. When providing our company services, GTS may need to process personal data. In such cases we process the information as Data Processor on behalf of our customers (other companies) who are Data Controllers. In some cases where we are Data Controller, we may also process personal data for our own purposes. We obtain, process and handle data to provide contractual services, secure and maintain
these service(s) according to applicable standards and contractual agreements, and to improve how we deliver our responsibilities and services. The legal basis for processing such personal data is our interest in conducting our core business and delivering the agreed contractual services.

What data do we collect?

GTS collects the following data:
• Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
• Relevant customer site and equipment information such as engine numbers, location, onsite HSE requirements and real time data from the operating gas turbines, if we have a condition monitoring contract.

How do we collect your data?

As a Customer / End User, you directly provide GTS with most of the data we collect. Wecollect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message
    boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.
  • Remote Monitoring, if applicable contract is in place.
How will we use your data?

GTS collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order, manage your account and fulfil any legal, contractual and/or applicable requirements to provide the Products and Services.
  • Email you regarding our products and services that are related to your operations and maintenance requirements.

When GTS processes your order, we may send your data to, and also use the resulting
information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

We work closely together with specialists to ensure that all your data is always secured in the best possible way.

The exact amount of storage time varies depending on the type of data we’re processing. However, in line with GDPR’s rules and principles, we only keep the personal data for as long as it is needed and then we delete it. When we have your personal data because you are the contact person for one of our customers or business partners, we keep the data until we are instructed that it should be changed, or we no longer conduct business with the company you are representing. Personal data that we process for marketing purposes, is utilised to send information to those who have indicated to be interested in the information and do so until instructed otherwise and then we delete your personal data from our marketing database.
